Coral Reef Microbial Ecology
Hello! My name is Carly Karrick (she/her) and I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Correa Lab at the University of California, Berkeley. I received my B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Spanish from the University of Kentucky, where I studied the evolutionary and ecological factors modulating lemur gut microbiome diversity in the Weisrock Lab. In my Ph.D., I am investigating coral microbial symbioses in the context of global change, with a particular interest in the role of endosymbionts in influencing coral response to climate-related stressors.
